In 2023, the Neal A. Maxwell Institute for Religious Scholarship, Book of Mormon Art Catalog, and Laura F. Willes Center for Book of Mormon Studies held a Book of Mormon Art Contest to promote the new Book of Mormon Art Catalog, a digital compilation of artwork inspired by the Book of Mormon. 96 students created and submitted original artwork, which was judged by religious scholars, artists, and curators.

This exhibition are the winners of this contest held from February 2023 to August 2023. They represent the categories of Book of Mormon art that showcases underrepresented figures/scenes in the Book of Mormon, Book of Mormon art that demonstrates unique stylistic and technical approaches, and Book of Mormon art that highlights a variety/diversity of cultures.
