Artists’ Books + Narrative Prints

On Display

February 1, 2008 – March 4, 2008

Auditorium Gallery, level 1

My art is inherently connected to my identity—it is a visual reflection of my life. I am inspired to create because of commonplace occurrences that occupy the majority of the moments in our lives from childhood to maturity. My current creative process incorporates the use of toys and elements of childhood play creating a reciprocal relationship between early memories and adulthood. I am liberated by my ability to translate the mundane into intimate experiences using the visual vocabulary of artists’ books and the narrative use of printmaking technologies.
