Ashley Gordon is a Photography BFA student at BYU. She has recently had work published in Photographer’s Forum Magazine and has participated in several student shows on campus. Ashley is currently working on a large-scale underwater photoshoot and is preparing for her BFA final show in the spring of 2018.
These photographs were created as part of an ORCA Grant project carried out in Barbados. The project evolved finding and getting to know leaders and parishioners of various religions across the island, especially a few select religions that are diminishing, and photographing them in a way that captures the love and light they reverently treasure. The Bajan people exhibit a remarkable dedication to God, the evidence of which I hope viewers will find in these images.
