Daniel’s paintings depict images of freeway underpasses and the representation of light and darkness on the building structures. “Supporting columns of freeways must bear a lot of weight on their shoulders. These structures are symbols of opposition, of darkness and light occupying the same space in a concrete object. Their supporting mass is symbolic of mankind and the play between light and darkness in our lives.”
