His Hands are Our Hands

Location
Gallery on Five, level 5

In Elder Uchdorf's October 2010 General Conference talk, his address told the story of a beloved statue of Christ. Suffering major damages during a bombing in WWII, the statue of the Savior was left without hands. The decision was made that new hands would not be sculpted and rather a sign was installed near the statue that read “You are my Hands.” Regardless of our defining earthly qualities, we are each given the opportunity in this life to become like our Savior. Learning of and emulating the Eternal Qualities of our Father in Heaven allow ‘our hands to become his hands.’
